When and where is the tournament?

The Money Tournament Classic takes place October 24–25, 2026 in South Carolina. Games are played at premier facilities throughout the area. Exact locations will be announced closer to the event.

How much is the entry fee?

The team entry fee is $1,500 for 17U. You can pay the full amount or put down a $500 deposit with the $1,000 balance due before the tournament. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

Who gets the prize money?

All cash prizes are paid directly to the travel baseball organization — not individual players. The champion's organization receives a minimum $5,000 cash prize, with the prize pool increasing as more teams enter.

What age division is this for?

The Money Tournament Classic currently features a 17U division. We may expand to additional age groups in future years based on interest.

What format is the tournament?

The tournament uses a 2-day format designed for maximum competition with minimum time away. Teams compete in a structured bracket with championship games on day two.

Are college coaches and scouts there?

Yes. College coaches and scouts attend The Money Tournament Classic, making it both a competitive event and a showcase opportunity for players.

How is the prize money funded?

The prize pool is funded through team entry fees. The minimum $5,000 grand prize is guaranteed, and the total pool grows as more teams register.

What can winning organizations do with the money?

Winning organizations may use their prize money however they choose — travel expenses, equipment, player scholarships, program development, tournament costs, or helping families in need. No strings attached.

Who created The Money Tournament Classic?

The Money Tournament Classic was created by Chris Dorsey, founder of Richland Baseball, a 501(c)(3) organization in Columbia, South Carolina. The tournament brings travel baseball and community baseball together in a win-win partnership.

What is the refund policy?

Entry fees are subject to the tournament refund policy. By registering, you agree that your entry fee is paid to Richland Baseball Inc., a 501(c)(3). Please contact Chris Dorsey at chrisdorseysc@gmail.com or 803-269-2888 for specific refund questions.

How do I register my team?

Click the Register Now button on any page, fill out your team information, and pay through Stripe. You'll receive a confirmation email after completing registration.

Can I pay just a deposit?

Yes. A $500 deposit option is available to hold your team's spot. The remaining $1,000 balance is due before the tournament. Contact Chris for details on balance payment arrangements.
